How was your week?

This week Romy wore her first t-shirt now that the days are a little hotter, and she rolled for the first time! I packed away a lot of her clothes that no longer fit and have started to put some '00' sized pieces in her clothing rotation. She also sat in her first car seat now that she has outgrown the capsule carrier. A lot is happening on the Romy front lately, so this week I've been preoccupied spending all my free time with her enjoying all these changes. And when Romy goes to bed in the evenings, I've been re-watching season 3 of Pretty Little Liars. It is so bad in all the right ways!

On Tuesday evening we had dinner at a friends house and Romy was the perfect little bear. She slept the whole car drive there and back, and only woke to have her dinner milk shake half an hour before we left. We have had a couple of bad nights during the week because of her teething, but in general this week has been great! Romy & I had a coffee date with our friends Renee & her baby boy Oscar, I stocked up Romy's spring wardrobe, my sister & brother-in-law visited on Saturday and we got a lot of little things done throughout the week. Luke & I are spending our Sunday evening with home made cheese burger pizza, grown up ginger beer & Napoleon Dynamite. Was your week lovely too?

How Was Your Week?

Sunday has already arrived, it doesn't feel like another whole week has been and gone. Spending all of my time with Romy really makes the days go by that much more faster. We generally start our week off with Luke as Mondays & Tuesdays are his days off work. I generally love Wednesdays because they are half way through the week, but now they have taken on that typical Monday feeling. On Wednesday, the day we dread the most, Romy & I visited some friends & had an afternoon movie marathon at home. And on Thursday had a morning coffee date & went for a walk with my friend Renee & her baby boy Oscar. Friday Romy & I ran errands and got organised so we could spend the weekend with my Sister & her husband Allan. Before my Mum & Sister Ashleigh came over on Saturday morning, Luke & I got up early to go out for breakfast together and check out the markets. Because Luke spends most of his time at work and we get limited time all together to do things, we're now making more of an effort to do morning adventures. I hope I don't jinx it, but Romy has been sleeping fantastically the last few evenings, so I have been able to catch up on a couple of things and a lot of sleep. This morning we had breakfast with Ashleigh & Allan before they went back home, and it was such a beautiful morning to have coffee and waffles in the sun. Luke & I are finishing our week off with pizzas, drinks and a visit from an old friend. I hope you all had a lovely week too!

How Was Your Week?

This week has gone especially fast. Luke has Sunday evening, Monday & Tuesdays as his days off so I generally dread Wednesdays and start looking forward to Sunday afternoon instantly. And this week those few days in between went by so quick. On Wednesday Romy & I rented weekly dvds & stayed at home together, and Thursday we ran a couple of errands and were out and about all day. We had visitors all day Friday & Saturday, and had really unsettled nights due to a beginners case of teething. Today was a little better after a few drops of Infants Friend, a lavender oil bath & an afternoon walk in the sun. We settled The Bear just in time for our Sunday pizza and movie night ritual. Weekly Recap

July has been such a blast so far, just as I thought it would be. After our trip last week, Luke & I wanted to come home and make a start on our to-do list. One thing we absolutely need to do is sell our old car. Earlier this year we decided to buy a new car, and as soon as we started talking about it, the exact one we wanted fell into our laps. We snapped it up before we could sell the car we had, and we drove it to my parents house to keep it there, and it has been there ever since. So we went over to my parents house Monday & gave it a good clean & took some pictures so we could list it on some car sales sights. First thing crossed off our list, and a great start to our week. Luke also had Tuesday off and  after a trip to Bunnings we rented a bunch of movies & stayed home for a quiet afternoon, it was really nice. We started to talk about working on our back court yard and making it a cute space so we can enjoy it when the weather starts to warm up. Bunnings had quite the selection of scary garden owls!

I made a mid-week trip to Newcastle to visit my friend Ali, who is expecting a little boy in a couple of weeks, to give her a baby present. She made lovely cucumber sandwiches and we had a cute little tea party and talked about baby stuff. I am really excited to have a close friend to talk to about all the boring baby stuff, especially one around the same age as me. Ali & I have been friends for a quite a few years now, so its even more exciting that we get to be mothers at the same time and our babies can play together. On my way home I called in quickly to see my sister Ashleigh so she could get in a quick Romy Bear hug. After a busy couple of days Romy & I decided to have a lazy day on Thursday. I tidied the house and got all my jobs done for the day and watched box sets with cinnamon donuts and coffee. Friday was much the same, only the afternoon was spent with afternoon visitors. I'm new to this whole 'saturday morning' thing because for the past couple of years I've always worked on the weekends. My Mum came over Saturday morning for morning tea and coffee, and I got a quick fringe trim - one of the benefits of having a Mother whom used to be a hurr dresser! My week finished off like most weeks, home made pizza and a few sneaky drinks with Luke!
