New Things: Dresses

I went to the shops yesterday to get some craft supplies to make a friend something. And while I was there I thought about how new dresses make me happy, and me being happy makes Luke happy. And I had Luke's bank card, so he bought me some dresses! I wanted to get a sheer type dress with a collar to wear under cardigans for this in between cold weather and found the dress on the right from Cotton On for $10. And I was just leaving the shops when I heard this yellow shirt (in the middle) call out to me, and before I know it I was in the change room trying it on with a forrest green skirt that I also bought. And just because I was going to be trying things on anyway I picked up the dress on the left and tried it on and had no intentions on buying it. But I saw it was marked down from $70 to $25, and when I paid for everything the dress scanned at $10, the skirt was marked down to $10 and the shirt was $50. I really love the style of the yellow shirt, they had plain colours that I didn't see until I had already committed to my purchase, so I think i'll have to make another trip to the shops on Friday. Any day that involves two $10 dresses is a good one!

  1. Love these, great bargains! The shirt is more expensive than I'd normally go but the zebras are so fantastic who cares!

    1. The shirt was extremely over priced, but I just couldn't pass it up! I have lots of dressy dresses, but not too many dressy shirts.

Nothing like a good deal on a cute dress to put a smile on a lady's face :)

  3. Wow that's a great sale! Such pretty dresses and that top is just brilliant :) Plus getting something marked down even cheaper than what was marked isn't too bad either.

    1. The over priced shirt was totally worth it because of the marked down skirt and dress. And surprise mark downs are one of the best things ever!

  4. OMG! What an incredibly great day to have been out there shopping! I'd be super happy if I found two $10 dresses, unfortunately that never happens to me. LOL I swear, I have the worst luck ever with bargains and sales. Well, I did find a cute $5 satchel and $6 vintage bowling shoes at the thrift store a couple months ago, so that was pretty lucky of me :)
I love all three outfits! And that's so true - a happy wife is a happy life, so our hubbies should always just hand over bank cards. hahah :D

    1. A happy wife is a happy life! I love that and its so so true! Luke likes to buy clothes just as much as me so he understood very well that I needed them! I don't have very good luck with thrifting, aside from my awesome deer jumper. But I don't go thrifting as much as I should. Theres an awesome thrift store next to my work and I popped in today and saw some Urban Originals wallets and bags and they were incredibly cheap. I think I'm going to need to get another job!
