A Movie Date Miracle

I had to work during Luke's day off yesterday, so we had planned to go to the movies in the evening. When I got home from work Luke was being a good husband and cooked vegetarian  risotto for dinner, which we had at the raging time of 5.30pm. Every single time we go to the movies, which are only a three minute drive from our house, we are late. We're those annoying people that get there really late and stumble up the stairs anxiously. And funnily enough, I have a slight fear of getting to the movies late and walking up the stairs looking for a seat in front of everyone, yet we're late every time. So this week we were determined to get there on time, and we did - accidentally. When we were looking at the movie times online we were choosing between two movies with one starting at 6pm & the other at 6.30pm. I got the times mixed up and thought it started at 6pm. We took ages with dinner and getting ready and ended up leaving our house at 6.05pm, and when we arrived we went to take our walk of shame and there was nobody in there! The movie started at 6.30pm, so we were able to cross that off our bucket list! We saw 'What To Expect When You're Expecting', and it was hilarious! Go see it!

  1. i feel you, lauren! the walk of shame inside the cinema is the worst thing. i even tripped once when we were hurrying to find our seats after coming in late and ended up with more people looking at us. it was so embarassing and since then i vowed never to come late for any movie ever.

    1. Oh my gosh! That is one of my greatest fears as silly as it sounds! I don't think my panic attack would stop if I feel up the stairs!

  2. Haha, that's so funny because I went on a date with my boyfriend yesterday and we were shamefully late to our movie. We didn't bother going up the stairs and sat at the very front. :P

  3. I want to see that movie!! I'm glad it was good :) And I too have a silly fear of being late to a movie and having everyone stare at me as I look up nervously for two open seats. So we're always on time, if not 30 minutes early. LOL And going to the bathroom during the movie - ugh, that's like the worst and I want to die everytime that happens to me. I try and plan for it not to happen by staying away from too much drink. :) I'm glad you and Luke had a lovely time. Y'all are so cute!

  4. Haha what a wonderful little accident. I hate getting into the movies late and always make my fiance get there at least 20 mins early, he kind of hates that hahaha.
