Have you checked out Felicity's business website make over? If you haven't, I suggest you pop over and have a sticky beak at her new layout and see some of her recent design work. The cute little dachshund was a custom illustration I made for Felicity and I couldn't be happier with how he turned out!

Cute Blog Headers
I wanted to share a handful of some really neat blogs that have cute blog headers. I know its a bad habit to have, but when I have the time to browse random blogs through comments or button link ups, I generally spend more time reading the blogs with the cute(r) headers.

An Illustration / Trainee Mama
I'm really excited to share my most recent illustration that I've been working on this past week for a new blog, Trainee Mama. Peta, who ordinarily blogs over at The Sea & Me Change, has started a sassy new side blog about her transition into motherhood. If you're a first time mum, or a mum to be, join Peta as she shares her "experiences, triumphs, catastrophe's and life". I've really enjoyed what I've read so far, and as a first time mum myself am looking forward to reading along with her experiences.

My Illustrations Elsewhere
A couple of months ago Rose Eva, who blogs over at Silhouetted, commissioned four custom illustrations from me. Rose Eva was an absolute delight to work with and being a designer herself, was quite specific with what she wanted for her illustrations. And while it is fun to be given free range when creating custom portraits and illustrations, I found it to be just as nice to have clear-cut boundaries. You can find all four of the illustrations on her blog navigation pages. Go check them out! And if you would like something similar for your blog, send me an email.

Paint Chip Wall Art
Last week my sister sent me a couple of really neat links to some DIY projects, and last Friday I crossed 'How To Make Easy Paint Chip Wall Art' posted on How About Orange, off of my list of things to do. I really enjoyed making this even though mine is really rough and not as neat as it could have been. I plan on having another go at this DIY because it was so easy, enjoyable, and most of all cheap! I bought this frame for $5 at Big W and picked up the paint chips from the hardware store. The colour possibilities are endless and although the colours in mine aren't visually offensive, I think it is a little too busy. Next time I'm going to try it with a contrasting palette. Click here for the full tutorial.

Sponsor Feature / Lazy Explorers
Hello, my name is Chloe and I blog over on Lazy Explorers. Lauren's blog is a favorite of mine and I am so happy to be guest posting today!
1//Most the shoes in my collection are from thrift stores. Here are my favorites, do you see a color trend?
2//When I saw this camera in the box with film I about screamed. I figured the garage saleswoman would want a fortune for it ($30 is a fortune when you are shopping at a garage sale). I asked her how much she wanted for it and she said "Uhhh, I dunno, how much do you think?" I was taken off guard, but managed to say "Five bucks?" We made the deal and I was off with this beautiful Polaroid. I have yet to use it because I don't want to waste any of the film. I love to think about the fact that this was the highest form of camera technology at one point. It amazes me how far we have come.
3//Since my recent hair epidemic, I have been using my creativity to hide the bad hair cut. I have seen people wear scarves in their hair before, but if you go to the mall they can be quite expensive. One day while I was thrifting, I saw a bunch of scarves hanging on the ends of the aisles. Since then, I have bought at least one scarf every time I go to a thrift store.
4//These dachshund pillows are probably my favorite find so far. They will be traveling with me to my apartment for sure. I love the colors on them and the fact that together they were about $2.
Thanks again Lauren for having me!
Xo Chloe.

A Custom Illustration / Pursuit Of Felicity
One of my favourite bloggers Felicity, who blogs over at Pursuit Of Felicity, asked me to illustrate one of her favourite photographs of her best friends as a present for their birthday. I illustrated a previous portrait for Felicity earlier on in the year for her boyfriend's birthday, which you can check out here. In the photograph the twins faces are slightly cut off on the sides, this was something Felicity wanted to change for the illustration, and ended up looking a lot better. I also did little changes like the twin on the left currently has blonde hair, so Felicity provided a recent photograph of her so I could adjust her hair colour, a 'bff' necklace was added, as was a colourful background to give the illustration a kick of colour. I sent Felicity the illustration in two sizes she requested, and with a blank background so she could add her own if she wanted to change it up in the future. If you'd like something similar for yourself, or for a present, send me an email for more info and prices. I'd love to hear from you!

Lovely Blog Headers
I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit of a sucker for a neat blog header. Its usually the first thing I see on a blog, and I have in the past followed blogs purely because they have been well designed. When I see neat designs I like, I keep them in folders on my iMac for design inspiration for when I'm doing posters, invitations or illustrations. I have a blog header folder because I come across so so many lovely headers all the time. I'm still in the process of transferring all my files from my Macbook onto my iMac, and while I was doing so I saw the blog header folder and thought I'd put them to use and share a couple of headers I like.

Earl Grey Cupcakes
Today I wanted to do something nice for Luke while he was at work, so while I was having a cup of tea and reading some blogs this morning, I decided to bake him something. After I saw Miss Kait Online's Earl Grey Cupcake recipe last week, I was pretty keen to try them. So that is what I made today! They sure don't look as lovely as the ones that she made, but they sure do taste lovely!

Featured Sponsor / Giveaway!
This is my very first give away on this little blog, and I'm so super excited about it!
Lost Cabin is my featured December sponsor, and also happens to be one of my favourite blogs!
Toni runs a super cute Etsy store selling cute vintage clothing and accessories. And I was more than delighted when I saw the scarf that is going to be up for grabs for one lucky reader!
Hello dear readers,
My name is Toni and I blog over at Lost Cabin.
I am simply delighted to be guest posting on Tastes Like Love today. When Lauren asked me what I'd like to do a post on....I must admit, I had a little bit of writers block. The Mr. suggested, "Why not do a giveaway? You have heaps of stuff lying around." (I think he is hinting at me to clean the studio we share). At the moment it's just easier to close the door and ignore it..hee hee.
So I'm going through a bit of a head scarf phase - partially to just deal with the in-between phase my hair is in at the moment. I sorted through my collection and picked out one of my favourites. Now I'm no expert in tying these babies, so I've put together a little inspiration board of some gorgeous belles of yesterday and today.
Up for grabs is this gorgeous nautical head scarf that I collected from a little town in Northern NSW a few years ago. It's oversized, so it's perfect for trying out plenty of different tying styles.
To enter all you have to do is:
1. Follow Lost Cabin via GFC
2. Follow Tastes Like Love via GFC

Thank's again for having me Lauren.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and amazing 2012!
Toni xo
Thanks Toni, I want to win this!
But I'll be just as happy to see one of my lovely readers win it!

Hi everyone! We are two close friends, Daphne and Gracie.
We live in Athens, Greece that recently started blogging.
So let us introduce ourselves :)
We both love eating, sewing, crafting, shopping, watching movies, cooking, blogging.
We are both students (Daphne is an engineer and Gracie is a journalist) and we are trying to juggle between our university obligations and our hobbies.
We started blogging because one night we were talking about how much we admire some bloggers and youtubers and how inspiring they are to us. We decided we can do this as well! So here we are now on this wonderful blog inviting you over to our place.
Hi! I'm Amanda. I'm a 23 year old animal loving vegetarian who enjoys photography, vintage, music, reading, crafting, thrifting, and blogging. :) Though I'm a Midwesterner at heart (yay Wisconsin!) I'm currently an East Coaster living in Washington, DC.
I spend most of my time working hard as a Veterinary Technician at a clinic near my house, but when I'm not there, you can usually find me browsing Etsy, sipping chai tea, or hanging out with my amazing boyfriend, Andrew and lovely kitty, Mia.
Originally I intended for my blog to be a mixed bag, but since I've started blogging, I've been doing a lot of traveling, so it sort of turned into a travel blog (which I'm okay with!) but I plan on changing that up a little bit and writing more about the things I listed above. Hopefully you'll stop by and find something that interests you! :)
There you have it! All of my December Sponsors!
If this is your first visit to Tastes Like Love, I did Part. One last week, go check it out!
